About Me

I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 25 years of experience providing therapy to children, families and adults. My work as a therapist began with my Master's degree in Art Therapy from Goucher College in Towson, Maryland. I have worked in many different settings including community mental health clinics and chemical dependency treatment agencies. I am experienced in working with a range of ages (from 18 months through adulthood).

For the last several years I have specialized in trauma work and therapy with young children under the age of 6. In addition, I have extensive experience treating:

  • Disruptive behaviors
  • Impulse control issues including ADHD
  • Adjustment concerns and attachment issues including adoption and foster care
  • Addictions and the impact of addiction on family members
  • Mood issues

For over 12 years I provided clinical supervision in a children's behavioral health clinic, overseeing the clinical work of 8 therapists. I hold myself to high standards and consistently work to provide excellent service to my clients and colleagues.

I find the work of supporting families rewarding. Helping families and individuals navigate the rough patches of life and witnessing each person's ability to grow and change is deeply satisfying.

Training and Memberships:

I regularly pursue training to further my skills and knowledge, focusing most recently on the areas of Early Childhood Mental Health, Trauma Treatment, and Reflective Supervision and Practice. I maintain professional memberships in the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapy, the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy, and the American Art Therapy Association.
